on the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the communist party of china (cpc), the party branch of duolun technology recently held a party day activity under the theme of “inherit the ‘red gene’ and draw strength to forge ahead” in shaoshan, a holy place of revolution and the hometown of mao zedong.
shaoshan school is a famous rural school with a history of glorious revolution that was inscribed and inspected by chairman mao. its predecessor was a school of mao’s family that was established at the advocacy of mao zedong.
civilized traffic in campus, and ‘red gene’ in blood
representatives of party members attended a wonderful traffic safety publicity activity themed on “civilized traffic is the responsibility of all” in the ideological and political education camp in shaoshan (old campus of shaoshan school). the representatives walked onstage, full of excitement, and accepted the red scarves presented by young pioneers. the red scarves transported them back to the days of their youth and gave them a rare glimpse into the strength of inheritance.
pay tribute to chairman mao, and remember original aspiration and mission
members of the party branch went to mao zedong bronze statue square at that very day. in a solemn atmosphere, all the party members lined up to look up at the bronze statue of chairman mao and presented flower baskets. they bowed low to the bronze statue, expressing their infinite respect and remembrance of mao.
afterwards, they visited the former residence of mao and mao zedong memorial museum. in his former residence, the party members personally felt the living environment in which he grew up and deeply appreciated the hardships of mao’s growth. in the memorial museum, an array of precious historical photos and cultural relics full of stories vividly showed his magnificent life and introduced his great contributions to the chinese revolution and construction.
